Scholarships and Awards Available

Becoming Method Excellence Scholarship

Purpose: Awarded to students who demonstrate academic excellence and a strong commitment to the principles of healing, transformation, and liberation.

  • Value: Up to $1,000
  • Eligibility: Enrolled in any Becoming Method program and maintaining a GPA of 3.5 or higher.
  • Application Requirements: Submit a personal essay detailing how you plan to use your education to empower others.

Community Impact Scholarship

Purpose: Supports students with a track record of community service and leadership in mental health advocacy.

  • Value: $500 – $1,500
  • Eligibility: Open to all students who have completed at least one semester and are actively involved in their local communities.
  • Application Requirements: Provide a letter of recommendation and a summary of your community contributions.

Equity and Inclusion Award

Purpose: Designed to support students from marginalized communities, including Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC), who are pursuing trauma recovery certification.

  • Value: Up to $2,000
  • Eligibility: Enrolled full-time and demonstrating financial need.
  • Application Requirements: Submit proof of enrollment and a statement about your commitment to equity and inclusion in trauma recovery.

Resilience Bursary

Purpose: Awarded to students who have overcome significant personal challenges and are dedicated to helping others do the same.

  • Value: $1,000
  • Eligibility: Open to all students enrolled in The Becoming Institute who can demonstrate financial need.
  • Application Requirements: Write a 500-word essay sharing your personal story of resilience and how you plan to support others through trauma recovery.
